Headache

Headache is a condition characterized by pain in the head and scalp area. The disease may be caused due to abnormalities in blood vessels, nerve fibers, and muscles. The condition may also be caused due to altered chemical activity in the brain. Various medications are prescribed for managing headaches depending upon the underlying causes of the headache.

  • Sinusitis
  • Dehydration
  • Ear infection
  • Hypertension
  • Stroke
  • Stress
  • Lack of sleep
Migraine

Migraine is characterized by moderate to severe headaches, generally on one side of the head. It is said to be a neurological disorder. Although the exact reason for this is not known it may be due to abnormalities in nerves, blood vessels, or muscles. Various triggers initiate or worsen the symptoms of migraine. Treatment depends upon the severity and frequency of migraine attacks.

  • Abnormal brain activity temporarily affecting nerve signals
  • Chemicals and blood vessels in the brain.
  • Hypertension
  • Other illnesses that may require detailed evaluation
Dizziness

Dizziness is a term used to describe a range of sensations, such as feeling faint, woozy, weak, or unsteady. Dizziness that creates the false sense that you or your surroundings are spinning or moving is called vertigo.

  • A false sense of motion or spinning (vertigo)
  • Lightheadedness or feeling faint
  • Unsteadiness or a loss of balance
  • A feeling of floating, wooziness or heavy-headedness
Vertigo

Vertigo is a sensation that the environment around you is spinning in circles. It can make you feel dizzy and off-balance. Vertigo isn’t a disease. Rather, it’s a symptom of varying conditions.

  • Migraine headaches
  • Stroke
  • Arrhythmia
  • Diabetes
  • Head injuries
  • Ear Problems
  • Brain Problems
Neck Pain & Shoulder Pain

Most neck and shoulder pain is due to sprains and strains from sports, overexertion, or incorrect posture. Neck and shoulder pain is often due to an injury of the soft tissue. Soft tissue includes your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The term is used to distinguish it from the hard tissue of bones and cartilage. Causes of neck and shoulder pain include:

  • Cervical spondylosis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Muscles strain
  • Injuries
  • Pinched nerve
Chronic Back Pain

Back pain is a common condition, especially in the elderly. The reason for back pain includes poor posture, lack of exercise, and underlying medical conditions. Various factors also trigger back pain. The treatment of back pain depends upon the cause and severity.

  • Muscles or ligament pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Arthritis
  • Skeletal irregularities
  • Cancer of spine
  • Incorrect posture
  • Spondylosis
  • Disc prolapse
Sciatica

Sciatica pain is caused by irritation, inflammation, pinching, or compression of a nerve in the lower back. The most common cause is a herniated or slipped disk that causes pressure on the nerve root. Most people with sciatica get better on their own with time and self-care treatments.

  • Moderate to severe pain in lower back, buttock and down your leg.
  • Numbness or weakness in your lower back, buttock, leg or feet.
  • Pain that worsens with movement; loss of movement.
Tingling and Numbness

Causes can be multiple including diabetes, blood pressure, pressure on nerves. Neuropathy, tumors and other neurological disorders. Numbness and tingling are unusual prickling sensations that can happen in any part of your body. People generally notice these sensations in their:

  • Hands
  • feet
  • arms
  • legs
Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy, a result of damage to the nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord (peripheral nerves), often causes weakness, numbness, and pain, usually in the hands and feet. It can also affect other areas and body functions including digestion, urination, and circulation.

  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Infections
  • Inherited disorders
  • Tumors
Tremors

A tremor is a type of involuntary movement of the body, distinct from a muscle spasm or twitch. Causes can include lifestyle factors (like having too much caffeine) and medical conditions such as stroke or Parkinson’s disease.

  • Muscle fatigue
  • Ingesting too much caffeine
  • Low blood sugar levels
  • Stress
  • Aging
  • Injuries
  • Prescription medications
Paralysis

Paralysis occurs when you’re unable to make voluntary muscle movements. A nervous system problem causes paralysis. Uninjured nerves send signals to muscles. Those signals make muscles move. When you’re paralyzed, or have paralysis, you can’t move certain parts of your body.

  • A steady loss of feeling and muscle control.
  • Muscle cramps.
  • Tingling or numbness in limbs.
Stroke

There are two main causes of stroke: a blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or leaking or bursting of a blood vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). Some people may have only a temporary disruption of blood flow to the brain, known as a transient ischemic attack (TIA), that doesn't cause lasting symptoms.

  • Paralysis
  • Numbness or weakness in the arm, face, and leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Confusion, disorientation, or lack of responsiveness
  • Trouble walking
  • Loss of balance or coordination
